2007 Web Weekend Pics

Thank You, Miami Dolphins...

The Senior Director of Internet and Publications, Scott Stone and the Manager of Internet and Publications, Rodney Wood invited Webmasters who operate Miami Dolphin fan Websites from around the country to participate in WebWeekend. The week started off on Friday, September 28 with a VIP invitation to the WebWeekend Meet and greet session held at Gatsby's in Davie. On Saturday morning September 29th the webbies were treated to a stadium tour and were taken to the all new club level at Dolphin Stadium which has larger consessions and plently of flat screens to make sure you don't miss the action.

On Saturday evening the webbies met at the Miami Dolphins Training Facility in Davie Florida. We were treated to a tour of the training facility which included the players locker room and meeting rooms and weight training facility. We were also given a discount at the Miami Dolphin pro shop and some time in the itinerary to take advantage of the discount shopping. The Miami Dolphins also provided dinner in the players lounge followed by some senior executive guest speakers like; Chief Executive Officer, Joseph A. Bailey, III and Head Coach, Cam Cameron and Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, Bryan Wiedmeier who gave us some information about where the organization is right now and some improvements that are under way at dolphin stadium.

We were honored to meet John offerdahl who shared a lot of stories about his playing days with the Miami Dolphins from 1986 thru 1993. John also recreated one of his notable hits in his career against the Buffalo Bills. John asked one of the webbies to assist him in the recreation of this incredible hit. John advised us that after that hit he got a lot of respect from his teammates because of the devistating hit, which john claims was the opposong player barreling down towards him and he stuck his helmet in this guys chest on rode him to the ground. You just had to be there to appreciate the story.

On Sunday morning, game day. The Webbies met at the team hotel in Plantation Florida to take the bus down to the stadium, where we were guests of TD's Party Zone. We all enjoyed some lunch before going on a pre game access tour. The Miami Dolphins also provided pre-game field passes to get some great pictures of the players during warmup. We were then escorted to our field level seating, also provided by the Miami Dolphins and the weekend drew to a close with the Miami Dolphins dropping a contest to the visiting Oakland Raiders.

Thanks again... Scott Stone, Rodney Wood and the Miami Dolphins organization for your hospitality and generosity. You are truly a class act organization.
